Memoirs of a Geisha is a wonderful film! The costumes are amazing and the plot ties together perfectly. I think I could have been happy as a Geisha. You just get to spend your whole life looking pretty and being entertaining. It's not even about sex if you're lucky.
Speaking of being other people... I had a past life reading done a few weeks ago and it was very interesting. She saw three past lives for me:
1. A well loved teacher in Spain in 1860 who loved history and archaeology.
2. A Roman citizen in 12AD with three sons.
3. An overseer in Egypt at the time when the foundations for The Pyramids were being laid. Well at least I didn't have to haul to bricks around myself!
I won't go into all the details but it was quite interesting and believable. I enjoyed the Roman and Egyptian topics when I was at school, perhaps I felt connected. And I wished throughout school that we were allowed to learn Spanish instead of boring old French. But then again, I'm 1/8 French in this lifetime so I should have liked it! The reading was interesting but it doesn't give me much insight into my present life. I expected to get clues about some unexplainable feelings that I have. The reader said it is rare to find such peaceful and happy lives, especially in succession. Which worried me a bit in case this life is not so lucky!
