Kelsey Nicole Veldman
Kelsey Nicole Veldman Our beloved daughter and sister Kelsey Nicole Veldman's brief time with us ended on Saturday, June 20, 2009 after a nine year battle with an eating disorder. Kelsey loved art, music, fashion, reading, her friends and family and her cat Tum Tum. Her infectious smile was angelic, and she was much loved by her family and friends. But her life was too fleeting to realize her boundless potential. Kelsey is survived by her parents, Greg and Cheryl Veldman, her devoted sister Marissa, and her grandmothers Janet S. Veldman and Ruth D. Bleiler. She is also survived by her aunts Audrey Veldman and Catherine Goyne, her uncles Stuart "Randy" Veldman, Kim Wilson and Paul Goyne, her cousins Nora and Alison Veldman-Wilson and Amy Goyne. She is a graduate of Round Rock High School. Her parents and sister would like to thank the many people over the years who helped our family as she fought her disease. Ultimately she lost the war, but not for the lack of effort by those who were on the front line with her. Funeral services will be held at Beck's Funeral Home, 15709 Ranch Road 620, Round Rock at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25. We request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Austin Foundation for Eating Disorders ("AFED") c/o K. Kaiser, Treasurer, 1708 Chicon, Austin, TX 78702-1232.
