Short Entry

Sorry I haven't been here in so long, we've begun filming Intermezzo, and then I have speech classes in the spare times. I haven't seen much of Peter or Pia either(something I regret, I must say), but, we've been told that filming should only take a few months. Thankfully, my lovely family understands and just stays in the background, but I can tell Peter is upset, mostly by the way that, whenever the subject comes up, he skillfully avoids it. Some day soon, he and I should have a talk, I believe, but I love him, and pray it all it works out between us, especially for Pia's sake. Oh! Somehow this reminds me, Leslie(yes, he and I are on first name terms, now-thank God!)and I are getting along well, but, on screen-I don't know how we will do. He feels much more like a brother than a lover. We shall see how this all turns out, but the cast are all darlings-Mr.Selznick is quiet, but not rude while we're working, which helps. Mostly he leaves us alone to decide how to act out our scenes, which makes me strangely nervous-I always feel that I'm messing up the words-but everyone else seems comfortable with it, so I guess it's normal around here.

And-oh,my dear diary! I have gotten offers on a few other parts-mostly non-English roles, but that doesn't matter in the slightest! Everything is going wonderfully, and now I must go off to spend some time with my family, tommorow night I won't be able to, because...I've been invited to a cast party!!!! Oh, how exciting. I promise, of course, to write all about it!

My dear, I do believe America is the most wonderful place on Earth, besides my home, of course. Or maybe I'm just giddy from being tired. See you soon!
