(no subject)
So my move has started in earnest, and I've had no time to read or write in LJ-land. I promise to read back later and find out what y'all have been up to, or at least what you've been writing about. ;)
Where I've been:
- My blissful crush is "on hold" for a few weeks because of partner issues. Rats! Good thing I'm so busy.
- My move is in full swing - we're trying to get everything out of the house by this weekend, partly because that will get me my deposit back sooner. I am ambitious as always, but that may not win the day for me this time.
- I'm hoping the stars align to get me a wonderful apartment I looked at and fell in love with, but I'm trying not to get too attached to the idea. For me to come up with the sizeable deposit in time, the stars need to not just align, but do a little line dancing (electric slide, anyone?) And my landlady at the current place needs to give me my deposit back right away, which she seemed to be hinting was her plan, but duh, of course I can't and shouldn't count on that. Still, the potential place feels really right, the stars seem to be aligning otherwise so hey, maybe they LIKE line dancing - and if you never try for the long shots you never hit any of them, right? Right.
- My birthday is coming and I have almost a week of vacation then. By that time, I'll really need it!
Time to go placate my boss now. Dang these short but intensely busy weeks!
