Also, in place of paperwork and office troubles are auditions and busy scheduling difficulties that draw time away from your personal life - not to crush your image, but just to show the pros and cons of every job.
busy scheduling difficulties? like what? concerts and things? that sort of paralells to meetings for regular jobs. and auditions are just like interviews, just shorter.
haha I think i'm contradicting myself. but I think musicians like what they do so much that they don't mind auditions and concerts, because, if you've decided to be a professional musician, you're in it for something other than money.
I'm not really sure what i'm trying to say. oh well!
It's delightful cause you get to do what you want to do. People don't often go into music if they don't like it because then it's not rewarding. I realized that the people who are musicians are rewarded by what they do, even if there are things like practicing that I don't like. nothing secret about it.
oh i see what you're asking. it was delightful because i was surrounded by incredibly awesome people who share the same interests I do and I didn't have to worry about school or anything for 6 hours. I just really enjoyed having to worry only about the JYO and I got to play in a cool hall with great musicians. still nothing secret ha.
