Ah, The Junkie Dayz...

Watching Poetri talk about Krispy Kremes on Def Poetry made me think of my junkie days.

When I was in second grade, I would be the one other kids would go to if you wanted snacks: Kit Kat, Layz, Rockets, you name it. I'm not kidding when I say that I may as well have been wearing a trench coat, shades, and a hat, and hanging out in the back of the class with the snacks I carried everyday. My personal favourite was the Kit Kat Bar.

I have no idea how I got over that habit of eating junk food. Since I started college, those cravings have been replaced with fruits. Now I eat them like one eats chips or popcorn: I can never eat just one.

Poetri's "Krispy Kremes" also made me grateful that I only worked at Tim Horton's for one summer. Those Honey Curlers are freakin' addicting :)
