Behold! Pictured is the first meal I have ever made in my entire life. That's right- last night, yours truly finally made real food!
Chris thought it was about time that I started to learn how to cook (and it was also on my list of things to accomplish before the end of this summer) so he bought me an Italian cookbook by Giada de Laurentiis (if you don't know her, she has a show on Food Network.) Then he told me that I had to make a meal for him and my parents by the end of the week.
So the menu last night consisted of roasted asparagus wrapped with proscuitto, salmon baked in foil, and panna cotta with mixed berries for dessert.
Everything turned out well, and I probably surprised my parents more than I surprised Chris, hehe. I'm definitely looking forward to doing it again. :)
