Wow, where do I begin?

SMU Commencement was quite successful. I endured 3 ceremonies, so I'm well prepared for NYU's commencement next year!

I flew to Dallas last Thursday, and my parents joined me the next day. They finally got to meet Chris's side of the family, and they got along great. Were my parents meeting my future in-laws? Only time will tell...

ANYWAY, I arrived on Thursday so I could have an intimate dinner with Chris, his dad, and his step-mom. We ate at Aurora, where I had the most expensive meal of my life. No joke. Ask me how much outside of this journal. I drank the finest champagne and exquisite wine. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Enough said.

Friday, my parents arrived in the afternoon, just in time for dinner at Cafe Express. Everyone got acquainted, and we all headed off to SMU for a religious Baccalaureate Ceremony. In the reception afterwards, Chris got to shake hands with the University President, which was pretty awesome! I have a picture in the albums above.

Saturday started bright and early with all-university commencement at 9:30. After lunch at the frat house, we came back for the presentation of diplomas from the business school. Then it was dinner at Maggiano's, and celebrating with Chris's closest friends (and their parents) at this bar on the 27th floor of the Hilton hotel. That bar was unlike any place I've ever been to, and I'm glad I went.

Sunday, after saying goodbye to Chris's aunt and uncle, me, the 'rents, Chris, and his grandparents visited the 6th Floor Museum, where John F. Kennedy was shot. Afterwards, it was back to Houston...

I know this was a pretty dry entry about what I did... but I didn't know how else to present it without going too much into detail! If anything, talk to me on AIM for more. ;)

Good news, though- I got the job that I was interviewed on Wednesday for! I'll be working for the Center of Experimental Social Research this summer, in addition to my library job, so I fulfilled part of number 1 on my summer to-do list! Woo hoo!

Alright, I guess that's all for now... CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTOPHER JAMES, ON GRADUATING FROM SMU!!
