22 Hour Road Trip
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays to all. Ron and I just got back from our trip to New Mexico to see my family. We had a great time (mostly) and the trip itself wasn't even that bad. Sure, it was 22 hours each way, but we had great weather, save for some heavy winds in Texas on the way over. We stopped at his Aunt Diane's last night to rest for a little while and so that broke the ride up nicely.
We got tons of presents. :D As did baby. We got towels, washclothes, baby monitors, sippy cups, a few outfits and other stuff I'm not thinking of off the top of my head. Meaning, all we have left for baby is the bigger and more frequent items such as the Stroller, Toddler Car-seat (eventually, as we have the infant one), and DIAPERS. We haven't gotten any diapers yet so if/when I have a shower, that'll probably be my #1 request.
Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be a Christmas update, so much as a "We made it home safely" message. The Christmas update will be later, including all sorts of bragging, bitching, and all around blogging of blahness. Wow, I had to scrounge for that alliteration.
