*Update on Ron's grandma first:
She was supposed to have surgery but didn't (can't remember why...) and they told her she could go home. When she was taken off the IVs and stuff and about to leave, she started screaming in pain. So they told the entire family that if they wanted to see her before she died, it should be in the next 4 days. WTF. Dec. 05 when Ron and I started dating they'd also announced her terminal but didn't give an approximate time. Turns out they were wrong anyway and she got better (mostly) and has been fine the last two years except for having to get fluid drained from her lungs every few months/half year. Ron debated whether or not to call into work, hoping this would be another false alarm, but thankfully, false alarm or not, he and his brother and sister decided to carpool and drive down tonight to see them in Louisiana anyway. I wish I could go too. I really hope she'll be okay. I'd like to see her at least one more time. I'd like her to be able to see another great-grandchild, too. :{ Anyone who has a spare prayer-- it's needed.
*Update on the last week in El Paso/Cruces
I'm teh tired. This week has been really good though. Got into El Paso on Monday and Pop picked me up from the hotel and drove me back home to Cruces. :) It was great seeing him and Nan. It was good seeing my mom, but she seemed down and kinda negative (not that that's new or anything) and I was kinda glad to drive back by the time I left. YAY family and good times. Yay home-cooked BBQ steak and potatoes. *_* Sidney definitely remembered me and was whining/crying/sososo happy to see me. :D I missed them!
Drove back Wed. night to Cruces. Stopped by the Double Eagle first. Twas kinda weird. Walked in and they tried to seat me. I explained I'd worked there before and finally saw someone I recognized but couldn't place. Turns out it was Johnathan, John's son. He used to have a blond curly bowl-cut and was short. Now he's tall with long black Marilyn Manson hair. Went into the back to see my cooks. They were... WEIRD. I was smiling and happy to see them and they acted like they didn't know who I was or just didn't care. They said they'd had a rough night... hopefully that was it. Found out Abraham's due to be a dad in December. Told them I was due to be a mom in Feb. and that it wasn't just an extra-fatty Kristin. From the corner of my eye I saw Bryan walking in the back door. :D As he was walking passed me, I kinda did the head nod-casual 'Sup' to him and watched him double take. Gave Kelly the tour of the DE quickly (since I knew pork chops were waiting at Nan's house) and went to the bar to chat with Bryan for a bit. Found out that Scott was apparently fired almost a year ago. Dang, no one keeps me informed on ANYTHING. Bryan and Tammy are still together. Troy and Candace still work there. :) I hope to see everyone this weekend, even if I have to go to DE more than once a day. Yay tortilla soup and virgin margaritas and FRIIIEEENDS.
Said bye to Bryan and Delzer and told them I'd see them on the weekend. Headed over to see Nan and Pop after that. We had yummy pork chops, cole slaw, cottage cheese, and homemade yeast rolls. *_____* Kelly enjoyed playing with Sidney and we all enjoyed good conversation. :) Got to open our anniversary gift early. Loved it. Ron will especially love it.
Work has been eh. I'm with Kelly and she's nice, at least. The unit's records are jacked up though. The database did not convert well and there are many glitches and DB errors. Oh well. We still accomplished a lot in the last few days and are already almost done. Kelly wants to go home already but I want to enjoy my three-day weekend with the family first. I can't wait to stay the night there and see Marie and go see my DE peeps and if I'm lucky, maybe even the Jamburglars. I can't wait. First night with family and then the weekend with Marie. I might go to my mother's house Friday night after all... depends on how tired I am by the time Nan and Pop go to bed. I miss my kitty, Max, anyway.
On the note of cute but annoying fur-balls...

Adorable and true. I miss my kitty.
Scientists find 400-year old clam. But unfortunately had to kill it to find out it's age. That's so sad. But is teh science.
The Little Mermaid on Broadway? DUDE. *_* I would so see that.
AHHHHH! :D
Joss Whedon to have new series! FINALLY. And with Eliza Dushku. Hopefully Fox will KEEP this one! Yay 7-episodes already. :D
