Objective Demonstration

The screencap webcomic Darths & Droids is imo an extremely hilarious one, but I never bothered to sub to the discussion forum because a) no time, b) not very impressed with the caliber of posts. However I do sometimes glance at it.

This time I almost wish I did belong, simply to smack an idiot ironic hipster edgy libertarian college kid - at least, I hope s/he (odds are "he") is young, but you never know - for the crime of being publicly asinine.

Just compare Daemian Lucifer's
glib dismissal of the value of human life and support for a system in which "the most useless ones" get sacrificed to benefit the rest of us, explaining in reply to another poster's objection
There's the problem of defining "useless", and the problem of convincing everyone else that the criteria for measuring it are accurate.

that
In a purelly money based society, there wouldnt be a problem.Set some tax(life taxation),and those who have money to pay it(no matter how they get it,theft, drugs, slaves, anything goes)live, those that dont get fired....out of a cannon into the sun.

Not necessarily. Those that excell at school(show great potential)would get college grants to perfect themselves. And Ive seen so many mediocre and bland people attending college for years, taking the place of those that would actually finish it if they had a chance, that its sickening. Those mediocre ones would be forced to work in a purelly money oriented system, instead of dropping a 4 year college after 10 years of stupidity, and would either become productive or dead.True,it doesnt sound human, but it is efficient.

Now given DL's own abysmal lack of writing skills (and afaik these are FAR beyond anything that can be justified by ESL, though there is nothing to indicate that English is DL's second language that I can find) let alone critical thinking skills, what exactly would be the fate of DL in the society that they imagine would be the ideal? I much doubt that DL considers that s/he is providing an unparalleled example of such a "mediocre" college career...

(And yes, I've known at least two guys who could be this poster, IRL.)

ETA: I also know/have known at least 3 successful businessmen who are this illiterate, and who also have such a de'il take the hindmost attitude, but I don't know if any of them are fans.

objectivists, stupidity, inadvertent irony, fandom
