I Aten't Dead Either, just really, really, really busy with real life and spending what time I have reading to try to figure shit out - plus my shoulder has been acting up a bit and I've been having to do exercise to help it, not conducive to long bouts of typing on top of work-required typing - so, in a kind of comfort-food-for-the-spirit spirit, here are a batch of links mostly if not entirely devoid of Grimth, for you all:

And because people do use Macs, as well as kittens, and not as much software is written for them, here is a freeware GIF animator for Mac users to make animated Icons with - unf. I can't check it out myself, but the firm's gotten good reviews from Mac magazines.
And the timeline of technology
gets pushed back a little farther, thanks to archeology. On the one hand, this is really cool. On the other hand, does anyone really like figs? It just seems, of all the things to put the work into. But De Gustibus and all that.
And finally, Finale has released a new version of their free music typesetting program Notepad which has a lot of nice changes. It is a big download, 30MB, but worth the wait imo!
