Summary: When Bakura's American Literature teacher takes a two week leave, he's surprised at who his substitute teacher is.
Note: Roy is an OC and I referenced this picture for his attire since that's his PB. Also, Bakura's PB is & will always be Toby Hemingway to me.
Sitting at his desk and watching the clock, Bakura was a bit nervous. He was only beginning to get used to the schooling system and he was comfortable with his teacher, but they were getting a substitute for two weeks while she was off on a leave. He hoped it was someone nice, like her. Most Americans were kind though, so he wasn’t too worried. Besides, he was good with the American literature class. He didn’t have anything to really worry about.
He heard his phone beep quietly and Bakura pulled it from his pocket to check it. The screen showed a text message from Roy that read: I have a surprise for you.
Frowning at the usual vagueness of his roommate, Bakura put it away as the door to the classroom opened. The other students took their seats and their white haired principle walked in. “As you know, Mrs. Oswald will be out for the next two weeks. We have a substitute that’s new and I hope you’ll give him as much respect as her.” He motioned for someone to come into the room and…
Bakura’s jaw nearly hit his desk in shock. In walked Roy, dressed in a black suit with a navy blue tie and crisp white shirt. His hair was neat and flatter than its usual state and he had those wire frame glasses. It was the same get-up he wore when he visited his parents for dinners. Honestly, Bakura thought he looked good. He always did though.
A warm smile was on Roy’s face as the principle said, “Mr. Graves here will be your teacher for the next two weeks.” He patted him on the back and said, “Extension two if you need anything.”
Roy nodded as the principle exited the room. Bakura wasn’t sure what to make of this. He swallowed nervous and saw Roy wink at him. No one else would notice though, considering the girls around him were swooning already. Bakura felt a twinge of jealousy at this, but kept focused as Roy…Mr. Graves pushes his glasses up on the brim of his nose before turning to the black board.
The next two weeks were going to be complicated, Bakura knew.
