wow - so powerful! I love how you so deftly draw the horrors Dean's been through, by his attitude and appearance and the merest of flashbacks. The reveal of him giving up so much, his very memories of those he loves, is a heartbreaking concept: Dean had forgotten Sam because he loved him. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt like hell. Thank you.

Also you made me think that if Season 8 does give us a number of episodes with Dean in Purgatory - he'll have a beard \o/

I seriously want Jensen to spend all summer growing out his hair and beard for the first couple eps of season 8. Shaggy!Dean!
