Things that are awesome:

• being behind a car with the license plate "2BLAAVE"
• an ad for a women's "personal massager" during an episode of The Colbert Report
• snow! on a day when I DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE ANYWHERE!
• 759 comments on the spn_j2_bigbang writer sign up post within the first day. Which means as many as 379 or so people could have signed up so far. Holy crap.

I have to know. What kind of car was it?

And I did a huuuuge double-take on the bigbang sign ups. That's a LOT of people, right? Sure, some won't make deadline. But if there's even 350 of us? That's a big ass bang.

I know there's at least a couple who sign up hopefully every year and don't quite make it (and I have my fingers crossed for them this year, as they're fabulous writers). But yes, still. SO MANY!

And I'm sitting here going "bah, writing my bigbang last year wasn't that hard" and now I'm remembering that it spanned six months of my life, slowed down my word processor liek woah, involved at least one false start, included a lot of "DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE?"s and even a few late nights with a hardcopy and a red pen before I got it done.

And then I remember that my senior thesis was exactly the same way and I actually TOTALLY LOVE to do all that and I feel better. . . .

As for the car, I don't remember. It was something unremarkable (and possibly silver).

Yeah, my senior thesis and I? Not so close at the moment. *headdesk* But at least I got started on my bigbang. 2500 words so far, most of them written today. I wonder if they'll have to extend the posting dates? 10 epic fics a day sounds like an awful lot to me.

Probably, as that is quite a few. I selfishly hope to manage to get an earlier one this year, though. Waiting to get to post mine last summer was KILLER.
