Girlie...such a girlie...
I had *such* a shallow girlie moment today, and damn it felt good and made me smile :D
Had a day off work and got a notion as I was falling asleep last night that I should mark the day with a little girlie shopping indulgence. (I used to be such a shopper but it has been so long since I actually bought clothes I can't remember the last time I indulged!)
So after a nice lazy brekkie I drove to Waterford. I was home three hours later after leaving the GDP of a small, developing country in the shops there... (yes there is some guilt... but darn it is my money that I work for...)
So what did I do...
First stop was Next. Oh I love Next. It indulges my preppy side :) And today it did again... In the bag as I drove away were:
*yellow wooly hoody
*green khaki linen trousers
*purpley flowery smocky thing (it's much nicer than it sounds!)
*green socks (they have a cute butterfly pattern!)
*pretty beady chain with little flowers and butterflys
and
* my offical "having a pint in a pub in Cardiff cool top" that vickievrt will soon get to see :D
So then I decided I would indulge in a little Burger King (haven't been there in, possibly, years). But where should I pass on the way but the brand new Debenhams... oh dear.... Designers at Debenhams....
I suppose, in hindsight, I was lucky. I did bring six John Rocha things into the changing room... I only bought two. A pretty brown hoodie (which will also be making an appearance in Cardiff vickievrt! and a very pretty little colouredy top that I haven't decided if it is for work or 'social' wear yet
And this was where my epiphany happened.
As I was happily walking away from the till in Debenhams I came face to face with the Matthew Williamson Butterfly handbag stand.
I literally stopped dead and stared open-mouthed. How did I forget how much I love Matthew Williamson? How? I mean I have so much of hs stuff... and two bags already? I use one every day going to work!
Oh they are devine! The one I want now is only E91...
So yep. I stood transfixed in the middle of Debenhams falling in love with handbags.
It was good to get back in touch with my old friend handbag!love :D
So now you know my real dirty little secret! (not bb burn badfalcon :P )
On the way back to the car I picked up a great bargain too. Peggy Lee cd for E3.99 :D
*sings* some day, when I'm awfully low, and the world is cold I will get a glow just thinking of you and the way you look tonight *sings*
I'm off again tomorrow... can't afford to do anything but I'm looking forward to my bagels with philly and crispy bacon for brekkie :D
