Tonight i watched Lain-Serial Experiments. I watched three and have one more episode. It's so strange and different from anything i have ever seen, but i really, really like it. It's all about this separate, wired world that exists in a computer, i guess, but not really. Lain is a 13 year old girl who begins surfing the net and starts the see the increasing connection between the real world and the wired. It kind of makes you question what the difference between the real world and a unexplained wired world is and if what we are living in is actually reality. It contains many surreal noises that are often follwed by silences and paired with trippy visuals. It is difficult to fully understand, espescially in the beginning. You have to be patient and wait and see what happens. Slowly, the unexplained parts fall into place and it turns out to be really fascinating and beautiful. Here's a review of it. It may help to explain it better i can attempt to.

"When introverted 13-year-old Lain receives an e-mail from a dead classmate, she gains access to "the Wired," a virtual world that promises unlimited power to those who can exploit it. Gradually the borders between the real and the virtual blur, and Lain's own identity begins to fade and fragment. Her parents tell her that she is not really their child, her online self grows in power and independence, and shadowy organizations pursue her in both worlds. Finally she begins to realize that she is either reality's only hope, or its worst enemy."

The description is a bit cheesy, but the anime itself is anything but. I strongly suggest it to anyone who is interested is the question of reality versus something else, OR anyone who liked the Matrix, though Lain proves to be way more artistic and strange. Plus, you get to hear the beautiful language of japanese the entire time. Here's an image from the web:

I am aware that i used to despise anime, but that's only because i had never really seen anything that looked interesting. However, the storylines and artwork are much more intriguing and dream-like than many things i have seen in my life.

I have had a long day or boring organization. I am now sitting on the porch of the house we own down the road from my house because there is wireless here and the sunset is beautiful.

I had the weirdest dreams last night somewhere in the midst of my tossing and turning.
In one of them, Seph's younger brother Patrick came to me while i was sitting in a flooded basement. He had grown his hair out long like a girls and had dyed it brown with blonde hilites. He wanted to show me a card trick and sat down next to me. We hung out and then Seph showed up and told me he had to bring me somewhere. He dropped me off at the house of a lady i used to see at the church my mom used to go to that i haven't seen in years. She told me to go to sleep on the couch, despite the fact that the sun was still out. In the middle of the night (in my dream), i woke up and there was a wet, wooden door that had suddenly appeared on one of the walls in the living room. I walked through it and there was a long, brick corridor that twisted and lead to rooms with scary devices. It reminded me a lot of American McGee's Alice. I had to figure out all these traps in these dark, dank, brick rooms in order to get the next doors to open. There were these very short creatures with blue and green, scaly skin taking my hands. I can't remember their faces but i recall being terrified. I kept slipping on the floors and the water stung my skin. there was more but i can't seem to remember it, which is a shame, because it was so strange and cool.
In the other dream, Tim and Seph and I were playing Zelda (i feel like such a drok writing about this one) and Tim took the control and beat Ganondwarf. Suddenly it went to this entire new extended part of the game. I remember saying in the dream, "What?! This is what must happen after you beat the game a certain number of times." I was begging him to let me play but he wouldn't.
That's all i have to say right now
