Let me tell you there are only three things that will get me up at 5:30 in the morning on a Saturday: Jeff, Fishing, and Soccer... in order from least ot greatest.
Yes, the World Cup 2006 has finally started. Even though i couldn't be there, which I am teh sad about, I am here watching all the games I cannot... and listen to them from work if I have to. I postponed my trip up to Victorville by a couple hours so I could watch the games. Soccer, my very hot male mistress... some of those players are totally hot, and I am at the age where they are my peers now.
Okay... my teams:
Obviously I will cheer for US and the Netherlands, but I am looking forward to the showdown between Holland and Argentina... that is going to be one hell of a game. They met up in 98 France, in the quarter finals I believe. Holland put on a hell of a show, with a totally amazing goal by Klivert. But now the teams are totally new.
GO IRAN TOMORROW! Beat the pants off of Mexico! Boooo, Mexico! Yaye whatever team goes up against it.
God I love LOVE soccer and the World Cup. The only time I wish I had been born a guy... because women's soccer sucks still, with Mia Ham is so blegh. I wish Peru was in the World Cup, maybe for 2010 in South Africa. Oh god... tha twill be a long time from now. Maybe I can honeymoon there, so it won't interfere with soccer.
