i think i need a true sabbath too... i wear myself thin - till i have nothing left to give. and i have the hardest time saying no, especially to friends. but i need to learn.

yeah, you're definitely not alone in that. i wonder if it's something that is a cultural problem (wearing ourselves thin by this over-busying business) or just a generally human issue...
It almost gets to a point, where if there is a day where there could be down-time, instead of focusing on rest & peace, there's this big long to-do list of things that have been building up. Instead of being content in being still in that miraculous moment, there's a hovering feeling of guilt of not getting things done.
i was listening to this sermon through Mars Hill and the speaker was saying that if you're walking through a store and avoiding eye contact with people out of fear of having to interact with someone else who wants something else from you (even if it's just a few moments of your time to listen and talk), then you're probably in desperate need of Sabbath. ..i can relate.
