Dude! It's the summer, even! You have no excuse not to catch up now! Well, you have a Star Trek excuse, but other than that! Listen, I selfishly need you to never stop watching the Sam and Dean show because I greatly value your opinion, your snark, and your gifs.
*sigh* My video didn't load, but you should go here to watch it anyway.
Dude. YES. I feel bad for saying so, but, yes. And, I mean, it's got to be challenging to play a character who doesn't really have emotion or personality BY DEFAULT. And I also get the impression that sometimes the show wings it with recurring characters and keep things vague for ~*~suspense~*~ to a degree that might impede the actors. But, yeah, I still agree. Even in that episode where he played a regular dude I cringed a lot. That was one that I liked better in picspam form. And I really do dislike the growly voice. He and Dean croaking at each other has become pretty comical.
I totes agree. Except I have trouble not liking Castiel because I love Misha. And He really can't act but have you READ HIS TWITTER!!??? The way he takes the piss out of the fangirls is HI LARious. This is the dilemma I spend time thinking about on a daily basis...
I disagree with your views on Cas to a point... (and when/why did they ALL OF A SUDDEN start calling him Cas??) but I do agree about the whole "he's still on the show because the fangirls like him" nonsense. It's interesting how much Kripke et al have their finger on the pulse of the fandom... I just don't know how well the vocal fandom represents the wider audience. I, for one, loved Jo and I loved Bela and I LOVED Ruby - both actresses... so I get a little bitchy when I think of how the rabid Jo-haters scared them off of Jo. *shrugs* They could have made it work. They give up kinda easily sometimes.
And RE: Dean getting a girl and settling down... *nods* AGREED!

I just can see it with Jo. I think part of the problem was the actress and the acting. The actress looked too young for Dean - it felt creepy. And she came across as whiny and petulant (going with the too young theme).
I guess I would be very very particular about the girl. I know I'm almost alone in this, but I liked Cassie.
I also like Lisa and Lucas's mother. AND the girl in Wendigo - although too young.
In fact a "good" Meg would be fine. Or rather the actual girl in the body. Dream a little Dream? She is a good actress. There was someone strong without being overly.
I hate when they think a strong women must be all tough and fearless and almost a man in drag. Does that make sense. Dean wants a woman, not a female Dean. But she does have to be able to handle his life as a hunter and not run screaming at every noise or supernatural event.
This makes no sense -- but it's the end of the day and my mind is fried and already home vegging on the couch!
