For any interested foodies, I created a shared Google calendar that is called US food holidays, showing the official and unofficial food holidays that have significant following. I weeded out a few where only one person seemed to declare some kind of holiday, and will eventually add more information to each observance. Yet for now, it tells what each day/week/month celebrates, if you feel like add a dash of quirk to your menu. Feel free to look it up and follow it if you wish.
