I've had a pretty productive week and weekend!
My jumper is done except for the hem, which is pinned and pressed. I'm just trying to decide if I should do it by hand or blind hem stitch it on the machine. I think the latter will win out due to time, but we'll see... I like to sew while watching movies at night, so I may get to it this week. I still need to do the ruffle for the shirt collar. And attach the trim to the front, but I found out I don't have enough to go all the way down the front of the skirt like I wanted. I wanted it to look similar to Emma's from the new movie. But it may have to stop on the bodice at the belt. Will that look funny? I tried to find more, but of course I bought this a while ago at Michael's (for $1) and they had other colors but no green. Of course.
Please ignore the mess here... this is my sewing corner...
The front with an idea of the trimming. The buckle is a vintage one I got in a huge lot on ebay or etsy (can't remember which). I found cute buttons that match that I may put down the front, like this:
Though my buttons are a little bigger. I also cut the neckline of my jumper differently. I liked the look of the lower square ones in Mrs. Hurst Dancing.
Here are pictures of my Regency Stays on my new fitting dress form! Yay!

I may paint the busk white as I don't like how it shows through...
Side view without busk as it doesn't work as well on the form...
I also draped and patterned my pelisse this weekend and was able to get it pretty much assembled by the end of yesterday. I think it's going to be bigger than I'd like it so I may try to fix that before sewing in the lining. Right now it's missing sleeves, collar (which is made, just not attached) and closures. And hem of course. It's unfortunately not as long as I wanted it. I had barely enough fabric. And I'm hoping I have enough for the sleeves, but as they will be pretty straight and plain I think I'll be ok. I based the back and the collar on the pelisse in PoF. I'm really pleased with how the collar has come out so far! I hope it all turns out ok!
I wanted to get to the bonnet, but spent several hours dawdling online instead. Plus I had a party or social event each night this weekend, so that ate up some time! It was pretty busy!
Hopefully I can get everything done (not to mention the food I have to make and cleaning I need to do) by Friday! But I'm really liking how this is looking! I think it may be one of my favorite outfits ever. Though the whole trim thing saddens me... I spent so long finding something I liked!
