Meme-ing Instead of Swinging

Jun 01, 2007 22:34

I stole this from Sk8 and Zoey because I have nothing better to do. Ooh, maybe I'll go swing at the park later! It could be kind of creepy in the dark, though. Darn.

OO1. When is the last time you ran?
Yesterday. I would have gone today, but I overslept, and then I spent the rest of the day with Lexi, whom I adore.

OO2. Do your jeans have rips, tears, and holes in them?
I have two old pairs that do, but I don't wear them.

OO3. What are you dreading right now?
Picking up more job applications tomorrow. Plus side: shopping! I need some lip balm and a new handbag, and Penny's is conveniently having a good sale on the latter. Win!

OO5. When is the last time you saw the person you love?
May 9th, I think, for Michael. I see my family every day.

OO6. Do you get the full 8 hours of sleep a night?
This is the dumbest sleeping myth ever. There is no perfect amount of sleep every single person on the planet should be getting; that's complete bull. I get as much sleep as I need, which is generally around six hours, sometimes more. I swear, I'm going to sock the next person I hear mention this crap.

O07. Think of all your exes. Would you take any of them back?
I took Michael back! Then again, he was my first and only boyfriend, and he came back around six hours or so after we broke up, so I doubt that counts. Anyway, I've only dated one guy, and I'm still dating him, so I can't answer this. I guess a simple N/A would have worked, but I like to do things the hard way.

O08. If anyone came to your house on your "lazy days" what would you do?
People have to call before they come to my house so we can open the gate, but in between the call and them actually knocking on my door, I would change my clothes, brush my hair, and put on eyeliner. It's always slightly aggravating when people come unannounced, but the people who do that are usually good friends, and as such are quickly and easily forgiven.

O09. Who last grabbed your ass?
No one that I recall.

O10. Have you ever been in your school's band?
No. I always wished I could play the cello and be in the orchestra, though.

O11. Do you own a pair of Converse?
No.

O12. Did you copy and paste this survey?
What was I supposed to do, retype everything?

O13. Do you eat raw cookie dough?
Snickerdoodle cookie dough is the best! However, I prefer brownie batter.

O14. Have you ever kicked a vending machine?
Doubtful. I rarely use vending machines.

O15. Don't you hate when the radio ruins good songs by playing a slow one right after it?
What?

O16. Do you watch Trading Spaces?
I used to. I'm more of a What Not To Wear girl now. (Psst, Sk8! I wrote this before I read your answer, so obviously great minds really do think alike!)

O17. Have you ever stayed online for a very long time waiting for someone?
Never. I'm online way too much for any of that time to ever be devoted exclusively to waiting for someone else to get on.

O18. Are you cocky?
Sometimes, but most of the time when I'm cocky it's to cover up my insecurities. I'm really quite stupid when you get down to it, you see.

O19. Could you live without a computer?
Yes, but it would be a sad, sad life.

O20. Do you wear your shoes in the house?
No. No one else does, either.

O21. At what age did you find out that Santa wasn't real?
I think I was three or four. I remember we were playing with my grandpa's cane in the laundry room. I have no idea why I remember that. We had some good times in that creepy old laundry room. Wow, I actually kind of miss my old house! How odd.

O22. How many phones, house phones and cell phones are in your house?
Six house phones, I think, and three cell phones.

O23. What do you do when you're sad?
Listen to music, drive to a store (Target or a bookstore) while listening to music, take a long shower while listening to music, do my hair while listening to music, read while listening to music, watch movies. I have slightly different cures for every saddening situation, you see.

O24. Who would you call first if you won the lottery?
I have no idea. It would probably be whomever I was last thinking about.

O25. Last time you saw your best friend(s)?
I left Lexi's around seven, so that was five hours ago now. I haven't seen Michael, Casey, Rhiannon, Emily, Heather, or Kaitlin and co. since I left school in early May. Does Michael count for this? Do I have a best friend? If I do, I think I have about a billion.

O26. Who or what sleeps with you?
Water, my stuffed duck, occupies the awkward space beneath my arm every night. I wake up with shoulder pains if I don't have anything there, so I might as well clutch a reminder of my own stupidity every night, right?

027. Is anyone on your bad side now?
I don't think so. I'm not around enough people for anyone to be on my bad side.

O28. What jewelry are you wearing?
Just my studs at the moment. I'm thisclose to going to bed, so I really don't need to be wearing anything else right now.

O29. What's the first thing you do when you get online?
Check my email, then Digg, facebook, and LiveJournal.

O30 Do you watch Grey's Anatomy?
No.

031. How do most people spell your name?
The same way I spell it. How else would you spell Victoria without coming off as a complete moron?

O32. Would you wear a boy/girlfriends clothes?
I stole one of his jackets. :)

O33. Where do you work?
Nowhere! Woe is me. With any luck, I'll be working at Borders, Barnes and Noble, Mariposa, or Victoria's Secret sometime soon.

O34. What are you doing Friday?
I spent today with Lexi! I displayed my stupidity quite often, and that always makes for a good time. Two thumbs up for Jamba Juice, Shrek 3, and her Wii!

035. Is Justin Timberlake becoming the next Michael Jackson?
I find it very difficult to believe that anyone, even JT, could become anywhere near as idiotic as MJ.

O36. Favorite name for a girl?
I used to have a handy dandy list for these kinds of questions, but then I filled it up and stored it away somewhere. I have no idea. Something pretty and not completely stupid. I've always liked Elizabeth. Susan is pretty awesome, too. How many Susans do you know nowadays? I know one, and she's at least sixty. There would be zero confusion when someone yelled her name! Emily, another favorite, would be very confusing, but that's understandable, because it's a gorgeous name.

O37. Favorite name for a boy?
James, Michael, and John have always been my favorite guy names. It makes sense that I like James and John as they are my grandfather and father, respectively, but it's kind of amusing that I've always liked Michael so much considering I'm now dating a Michael. How delightfully odd! Anyway, Joshua's a pretty good name too, but unfortunately, my aunt stole it for my older cousin. Boo! William is similarly awesome, and-bonus!-is as of yet unclaimed by a family member.

O38. Will you keep your last name when you get married?
Probably not. I don't really see a reason to.

O39. Do you return your cart?
Yes, though I rarely use carts.

O40. Do you have a dishwasher?
Yes.

O41. What noise do you hear?
Crickets, frogs, and a small dog barking wildly somewhere in the neighborhood.

O42. Would you survive in prison?
I'm far too beautiful for prison! Really, though, I'm too much of a smart alec.

O43. Who is the youngest in your family?
My second cousin Teagan, who's just thirteen months. I'm the youngest in my immediate family.

O44. If all of your friends were going on a road trip, who would be most likely to over pack?
I know way too many people who would do that to be able to answer this question.

045. Do you know anyone with the same name as you?
No, not since that girl in the second or third grade. I'm still glad she moved; she was annoying.

O46. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Only counting those that are actually wearable, I have seven. Two pairs of sneakers (one for gardening, one for everything else!), three pairs of dress shoes, and two pairs of flip-flops, one of which doubled as my shower shoes in the dorms. All were bought on sale, and most (darned expensive tennis shoes!) were under ten dollars, with both pairs of flip-flops together coming in at a grand total of five dollars. Woot!

O47. What service is your cell phone?
Sprint. ♥

O48. What's the last thing you purchased?
A Strawberry Surf Rider smoothie at Jamba Juice. ♥

O49. Do your siblings ever pay for stuff for you?
My sister has taken me out to lunch a few times for doing her favors.

O50. Where is your cell phone?
It's generally on the desk next to me when I'm on the computer, but it's charging on a kitchen counter right now. When I sleep, it's on my night stand.

O51. Is your phone on vibrate or ring?
Both.

O52. What brand are your pants right now?
Mossimo.

O53. Ever been to Georgia?
No.

O54. What irritates you most on the internet?
Slow loading. I want it to be done NOW, not next week, thanks.

O55. What brand is your digital camera?
Kodak, but I've been glancing longingly at Canons and Nikons for years. Can you imagine how much cooler my life would be if I had a Nikon D50 or a Canon Digital Rebel? It's too much for my mind to process. My life would be even cooler if I had a computer that actually worked, though, so I'm kind of focused on that right now.

O56. Do you watch movies with your parents?
Sometimes, yeah.

O58. Do you own expensive perfume/cologne, if so, what?
No, I don't own any perfume. I rely on lotions for scents, usually vanilla or lemon.

O59. Are you taking college classes right now?
Not right now! Sigh. I'm dying here waiting for next semester.

060. Do you like sushi?
Never tried it.

061. Do you get your hair cut every month?
No, more like twice a year or so. I'm probably going to cut it before I go back to school in late August. I chickened out about going much shorter last time, so I'm trying to convince myself it would be a good idea to go shoulder-length next time. It's a pretty big change from boob-length, so we'll see.

062. Do you go online every day?
Generally, yes.

I had a funny story to tell, but I can't remember what it is. I fail. Oh well!

I'm trying to decide whether I should go running or not tomorrow morning. If I go after shopping, I might end up with a headache from the heat again, but I really don't want to shower before I go because I'll take too long. I think laziness prevails in this situation. After it is!

good, me, work, boys, memes, friends, church, exercise, family
