It's becoming spring!

So...  strike the leatherman off that previous list.

::content sigh::  It's March.  It's getting warmer.  It's not raining as much.  I'm glad!  the dog is rather glad that he can go out outside without having to get dressed in layers...  he's such a weather weenie.  Doesn't like rain and snow.  He's not fond of being wet.  Though I'm glad he'll put up with baths...  even if he has this dejected look throughout the whole thing. He's a stinky, stinky man without them though...  so he's not getting out of them.  I just hope he doesn't get too carried away with running through the trees in the back yard now that he doesn't have extra layers to protect him.   Because that's *just* what we need at this point...  but if anything happens, he has insurance...  so he's covered!  Spastic fire child that he is...

Not much going on around here.  Erika's been pretty busy at work.  Which helps since she's on production now.  Especially with her flying twice a month or so...  and paying off the bills/debt that has wracked up for various reasons the past couple of years.  I hate being an adult.  Too much responsibility.

Erika's corset is coming along.  It's at the point where I'm making the corrections between the first and second mock-ups.  There actually wasn't much to change on it really.  Just sized it to her.  Didn't have to change the line of it at all.  Just have to take it in at the bust and front bottom to prevent bone poke-age...  The style looks really nice with the bridesmaid dress as well.  I thought I was going to have to alter it to make it play nicely with the gown, but I don't have to.  Which is a plus...  She want's it to be in black satin (which we already have, thank God...) and embroidered.  I think I'm gonna put some English Ivy on it, but I haven't really figured out how I'm gonna lay out the pattern.  That and I need to figure out how I'm gonna get a pattern on the black satin...  maybe look for a transfer pen or something of the like...  don't know.

Haven't started on mine of the other two.  Mostly because I haven't gotten measurements for the other two and I'm hesitant to start on mine.  I know exactly what I want...  an underbust that has a 'suit jacket' build directly into it.  Well...  sort of.  The front of the corset itself will be waist coat-esk with double points at the bottom, just like a formal vest.  Over that, it'll have the jacket front/lapels that will button closed normally.  The jacket front will be attached to the corset at the side seams.  It'll come up over the shoulders and cover the shoulder blades like a normal jacket.  The back jacket will be free from the corset itself for freedom of movement.  No sleeves.  I even have suiting for it!  It's a black with blue pin stripe.  And a satin-like blue for the front of the corset.  Possibly make black pants if, when i get to that point, the store doesn't have any more of the same pin striping.

Ok...  I think I'm gonna go outside while it's still nice out and do some yard work.  It's been raining in the afternoons lately and I want to get outside before it decides to do so today.  Then I'll do some more work...  blech..  there's that dreaded being an adult thing again...  ::shudders::
