Road Trip of Randomness
So the Roadtrip of Randomness was just that: random but hella fun. ^_^
George and I left Tampa on Friday morning, drove to Orlando, then hit Cassadega followed by about an hour at Daytona Beach, drove through Orlando again with another brief pit stop, and headed back to Tampa to sleep for a few hours.
We then hit the road again in the am, stopped briefly (read as several hours) in Tallahassee to do some shopping (yay for George's new coffee table), a few pit stops later we were in Slidell, Louisiana, which is about half an hour outside of New Orleans.
Spent an enjoyable few days in New Orleans, took a shiteload of pictures as well as meandered Artist's Square (aka Jackson Square) and bought some art and benigunes at Cafe Benigue (amusing people all the while we were in line). Also, we hit the Saint Patrick's Day parade just north of New Orleans and ended up with seriously twenty pounds of beads. No clevage was shown in the obtaining of said many beads. Sickos. ^_^
We left New Orleans Monday evening (after some rather bland gumbo and some more rainy weather), slept at a rest stop a few miles short of Tallahassee, then spent most of Tuesday either in the car or visiting people in the Altamonte Springs-ish area.
All in all, lots of fun, lots of photos and a good time. I need to learn how to make me some Cajun food though. Good stuff. Nom nom nom!
Pictures taken on the trip will be up in a few days in a new album, I just don't have all of them at the moment. I have to get together with George and steal his. ^_^
Off to be lazy for the rest of the night before buckling down and spending the rest of spring break doing homework!
