Conversations with a 2 year old

Sep 22, 2011 12:15

My sister's computer is at a desk in her kitchen. Just to the left and around the corner is the pantry.

My niece walks past (passed? I can never remember which one) me and says

"Uh Dolla, can you come here. I need you."

O.o

"Yea, baby, I'm coming."

We head to the pantry and she attempts to climb on some things stacked in there.

"No, no climbing. What do you need"

"I need Barbie. Can you get me Barbie?"

What the hell? Barbie. The toys aren't in there, and she knows it. She's pointing to one of the shelves and then I realize she means a Barbie gummy snack.

"Oh Barbie! Oh, ummm you guys ate them all yesterday. Do you want a cookie?"

"Ummm no..wait, yesh (that's what it sounds like people)...Um...yea, yesh I want a cookie"

I'm now dressing Dora and combing doll hair.

Help me Lord.
