Crowley/Aziraphale - Nice but Terrifying - PG bellacatbee March 29 2012, 15:02:15 UTC
Demons don’t care for propriety.

They kidnap Crowley on a Sunday which is very unthinking of them. Aziraphale considers telling them that he wouldn’t possibly be able to meet them until Monday but apparently demons don’t wait around and he wouldn’t want Crowely to be hurt because he has an aversion to doing anything on a Sunday, much like the rest of the British population. He’s always suspected that the Demons were responsible for the 24hr culture that had started to seep over the pond from America but this really confirmed it.

He goes to their meeting place which turns out to be an abandoned church which has fallen into ruin and Aziraphale feels a little twinge because this is so dated. He and Crowley meet at the Ritz or in a park. These Demons are old school. He’s almost embarrassed for them.

Their leader is named Hester. He’s wearing sunglasses inside but so does Crowley so Aziraphale tries to hold it against him. Crowley makes it look attractive though, rather devil-may-care while this one simply looks like he’s attempting to be cool. Aziraphale pities him which isn’t a feeling he thinks he’s supposed to have towards demons.

Of course feelings is what they’re meeting to talk about. He and Crowley and their agreement which is something more. Those feelings.

“I want to see Crowley.” He says, terribly calmly and the demon snaps his fingers. Crowley appears in a puff of brimstone, supported by two underlings. He sags in their arms, blooded and a beaten and Aziraphale bristles at the sight of him.

“My dear boy, what have they done to you?” He asks, raw pain bleeding into his voice.

Crowely’s head lolls back and he tries to smile. “Nothing. Don’t worry, Angel.” He says, his speech coming out slurred and Aziraphale really has had enough of this. Hester is laying out his terms, things he wants done, secrets he wants Aziraphale to give over about Heaven and favours the angel can do for him but Aziraphale is not in the mood.

This Demon has ruined his Sunday and hurt his Crowley. Aziraphale isn’t going to let him get away with that.
**

When the police are called to the empty church the following morning (after ten because even policemen deserve a lie in on Monday) they deem the bodies in the abandoned church to be a drug deal gone wrong and don’t investigate too much further. After all, the man was wearing sunglass inside.

Aziraphale is so prim and all 'I'm channeling Crowley and judging your style'; this was a great read! I love the little details about Sundays and the Ritz and sunglasses.

Thank you for writing this and I hope everything turns out well for you! *squishes*

Aziraphale is so very prim! He doesn't want to be disturbed on a Sunday. Sunday is the day for tea, batternburg cake and the Arches Omnibus!

I'm really glad you enjoyed this sweetie. I just wish I could write drabbles to pay the rent. I'd be fine then.
