Back from the grave - PG-13 - Adam/Michael

Adam couldn’t remember what had happened when he was living and what had happened when he’d died. He remembered teeth but that could have been in either place, teeth gnawing at his bones, ripping through flesh. He woke up in a coffin and pushed the lid off quickly, taking deep, hurried breaths. He sat up, the stench of rotting flesh hitting him and Adam realised that the other body had to be his mothers. She was why he’d come home, she was why he’d died. Why he’d gone to Hell.

He still didn’t understand why he’d ended up there. He’d always been a good boy. He’d always tried to do the best he could. He’d been an Eagle Scout for god’s sake and he’d still gone to Hell. His mother had still been murdered by things which had eaten her face. He’d died being eaten alive. Those things weren’t supposed to happen. Adam was supposed to have a nice life. He was supposed to graduate and get a good job, maybe go into paediatrics and then he’d support his mom. He hadn’t been supposed to die at nineteen. He shouldn’t have ended up on the rack of Hell.

And now he was alive again and he didn’t understand why.

He took another deep breath and realised he wasn’t alone. He reached around, trying to find something he could use as a weapon because if it was one of those things which had killed him the first time come back to finish the job then Adam wasn’t going to give them the chance. He realised he was lying on top of another corpse, this one long dead and he grabbed the arm bone, wrenching it out of the socket and holding it up.

“I’ll bash your head in if you come near me.” He shouted at the man waiting in the shadows.

“Adam.” The man muttered softly.

“How do you know my name?” Adam demanded, climbing out of his coffin but keeping a grip on the bone.

“Because I raised you, Adam. I’m the one who saved you from hell.” The man said, stepping forward from the shadows and Adam bit his lip. Even in the moonlight of the mausoleum the man was beautiful, undeniably so, like a marble statue of male perfection. Adam really didn’t want to have to kill him but he wasn’t dying again.

“What are you?” He asked, eyes narrowing.

“The Archangel Michael and I have a task for you, Adam.”

I love this! Adam in Dean's role and Michael in Cas'. The eyefucking would be just as intense.

The eyefucking would be so intense but Adam wouldn't let them just stick to eyefucking. At least not for close to four seasons.

I like that you didn't change any details of Adam's origin in this, I can actually see this playing out in an interesting arena.

Adam's origin fits in so well. It would make an interesting AU.

Or are we working up to that, Michael? Poor Adam. He shouldn't ever be in Hell. I love his brothers, but they've done some shitty stuff and, relatively, they deserve it more. :P
