“He’ll tell Dean.” Michael says quietly, hands folded in his lap.
“So would Castiel.” Adam points out. It always comes back to this point. Eventually they’ll have to tell someone. They want to tell someone. It’s just choosing who to tell. Ever since they were bought back to life there’s been an uneasy accord between the angels and the Winchesters. They tolerate each other but it’s an tentative truce and it would only take a little thing to push them into all-out war again. A little thing like the fact that Adam has fallen head over heels for Michael and Michael for him.
Michael’s family will want Adam dead because he’s corrupting him, tempting him to fall. Adam’s family will want Michael dead because he’s an archangel and he can’t be trusted not to turn on Adam and use him for his own devices.
So round and round they go, trying to decide who they can trust and who they can’t.
Adam sighs, wrapping his arms around Michael and kissing him softly. “Maybe we should just get them all together in one room and tell them there. Hopefully they’ll be too shocked to think about murder.”
“Or we could just tell Sam.” Michael suggests and Adam rolls his eyes. At this rate no one will ever know that they’re together.
