Supernatural Season Finale

So I haven't been around LJ or IJ much for a variety of reasons, among them: taking a two week trip through seven major European cities with my best friend, having my computer's motherboard decide to go kaput several days after returning from said trip, and FALLING BACK IN LOVE WITH SUPERNATURAL. (There is sooooo much pretty, I can't even handle it.) Oh, and STAR TREK!!!

I watched this with a good friend and we literally sat at the screen staring for a good five minutes, before looking at each other and saying "WHAT?!?! Cannot believe Kripke ended it at that. The voicemail situation killed me. I wanted Sam to hear the message sooo bad, but then to find out it had been changed (I think by the angels, personally). Oh, and the angels want the apocalypse twist was AMAZING, though I don't know how I feel about "God has left the building." I'm a fairly religious person (though the fundies that call themselves Christians make me want to vomit) and was really liking the existence of a higher power within the universe. Or maybe He is there and Zacariah is some sort of rouge. And speaking of theories, I'm definitely in the Lilith knew and was preparing herself to be sacrificed for the greater good, comforting her followers at the end, etc. etc. I cannot believe I have to wait five months though, for serious. But at least the boys are back together and Ruby is finally out of the picture (blond Ruby rocked so much more, imho, but maybe that's because I'm a blonde myself and am somewhat biased.)

So here's the deal. I have a trekie best friend and a trekie boyfriend and they've both been trying to convince me of the amazing that is Star Trek for the past 5 years. Well, consider me convinced. I want to nom Zachary Quinto/Spock and tie up and have my way with Chris Pine/Kirk. Seriously though, it was an amazingly done film with sooo much potential for slash-ing of the original slash couple. I mean, come on, "Get out of the chair!" had so much sexual tension Can't wait to read some of it. Oh and Uhura is a badass. She kicked ass and took names throughout the whole film.
Ok, now with all that spoiler-y business out of the way, I just wanted to say hi to the Supernatural people I've been friending and am about to friend in the coming weeks as I devour my way through the fandom and the many recs lists I've found. It's been a while since I was in a fandom for a currently airing show, but OMG the pretty of your boys! You all seem really nice and I can't wait to get to know you.
Oh, and to fellow QAF-er's, I'm not abandoning you I promise. Brian and Justin still own a very, very special part of my heart, right along with the WONDERFUL stuff you all write about them and the GORGEOUS icons you make of them. I'm still in the game and don't expect to be quitting any time soon, just pulling back a bit.
