Thanks to my newish roommate who happens to work at
tekserve, I now have a brand new hard drive in this cute little 12" package. A hard drive double the size of what I had before, which is pretty dang fantastic. The old one was totally busted. I think I owe him dinner.
Just finished ironing my corporate douchebag outfit and printing out some extra résumés for my interview tomorrow. In Midtown, of course. I'm gonna have to get up pretty dang early to make sure I get there on time. In a way it should be a big deal because it's my first "real" interview, but at the same time I'm indifferent as to whether I actually get the job. It would be nice to get paid doing what I like and am good at, but working 40-hour weeks while trying to study for colloquium (a.k.a reading and analyzing 25 books in the next month), doing freelance photography, teaching Portuguese and entertaining foreign guests would be pretty insane. I'm less worried now about finding something; there are tons of jobs I can do out there, and I wouldn't mind taking a month to find a different one. I'd rather teach Portuguese full-time than sit in front of a computer in a cubicle full-time, but we'll see how it goes.
I guess I should get to sleep.
