so I still read everyone's LJ posts I just don't write anything because I have nothing important to write about. but I'm going to start again because I'm so bored.
moved back in to the old bedroom at mother's a week ago. painted the room the yellowest yellow you can imagine. there is a lot less room now with my queen sized bed in here. put my bookshelf on top of my dresser, and put that back to back with my desk, so it's like a little corner work space. I have so much stuff. have to bring more to the storage unit because there is no where to put it all.
I asked Set to go to my locker at Rowan and return some music to the library. it's not there. they also changed my locker combo, but the office woman gave him my new one... the 2 flutes I left in there are also gone. that's not good. I knew they were supposed to change the combo this summer, but I'd been using it through mid-July and everything was in there. even if they opened it and changed it, stealing my stuff is really awful. one flute was the school's (though I never checked it out or anything so if I want to be a bad person I can just pretend this never happened) and the other was a friend's. I guess I'll give her my old flute. fuck my life.
going to long island on Saturday for Gee's grad party. that will be fun. 3 hour drive but I'm excited to go and see people and do something.
had an interview yesterday to teach violin at Old Towne Music. interview was fine, he seemed to like my bullshit answers. had to figure out something to play for him, which was stressful since I haven't practiced anything for real since April. played the Bach I played in my recital... yesterday was going through it and figured, eh it will probably be a drummer interviewing me or something, and it will be good enough... then he said he was a violinist so I was like fuck my life. but I played alright and he was like 'wow... that was really impressive. the way you played those chords. I wish I could play a piece like this. did you know that Itzhak Stern played this in 1981..." and then I was like ok great he's a loser. He'll call me within a week but I assume I got the job. I'm glad because this is something I can do while student teaching.
going to North Carolina in a few weeks to visit brother & co. also to the beach. have only been to the beach twice this summer and not in the ocean either time. he said it is about 80 degrees, unlike jersey shore water.
that is all.
