Shock and awe, the book rec. is actually coming out on the day it's due for once. This is due to the fact that I have no homework, have a very long break between classes, and finished a good book last night. The book this week is Dark Lover by JR Ward. This book was sort of recommended to me by
lezlishae and I have finally read it, after buying last summer. This book was one I wasn't particularly psyched about reading at first, but it was really good and sucked me in about a third of the way through. The book is about a vampire named Wrath who is the last pureblood vampire and leader of a special force called the Black Dagger Brotherhood. This group is made of six super-strong and uniquely talented vampires that protect the rest of the race from the lessers, slayers of vampires. When one of the brotherhood dies, his last request is for Wrath to help his half-human daughter through the transition from human to vampire. Wrath does it grudgingly, but what happens when he starts to feel attracted to her? This is not a happy or fluffy vampire book like I normally read. It is darker than most of those books so if you're looking for a light, funny paranormal romance read, this is not the book. There is a fair amount of swearing and adult scenes, so read it at your own caution, but I enjoyed it. And now I have to go find the rest of the series
Stay smart people
