Breaking in LJ for the Fall
Greetings comrades! I'll be your (benevolent, if not occasionally mildly sadistic) dictator for this year, barring any traumatic happenings or coups. If you're planning that latter option, I should warn you that I do have secret police, and you'll never guess who they are. Ever.
With that out of the way, we're going to hold unofficial Anime Night this Friday (7th) in Skinner 216. There will also likely be an unofficial Sci-Fi Night Thursday (6th) in Skinner 212. Note the different classroom please.
Now for some pertinent club business that will be repeated at our first info meeting.
We will be having our firstie-briefing, anti-hazing meeting at some time next week, hopefully Wednesday or possibly Thursday. Expect an e-mail about that later. We'll be discussing sci-fi night shows/films/scheduled screenings then.
As for Anime Night, our four definitive official series will be:
Hayate no Gotoku!
Claymore
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
Zombie Loan
The remaining ones will be put to a vote, possibly online.
Also, regarding AMVs:
- If you have an awesome AMV you wish to share with the club, post it here on LJ!
- If you have an awesome parody video you wish to share with the club, post it here on LJ!
- If you have an awesome fanart (yours or some other online artist's) you wish to share with the club, post it here on LJ!
- If you have an awesome fanfic (refer to parentheses for fanart) you wish to share with the club, post it here on LJ!
- If you have an awesome dorm room closer to our base of operation (Skinner), consider swapping with me please. :-P
I believe that's a great deal of the important stuff.
