So I just skimmed an entire writing book on subtext that I didn't really agree with and whose author was pretty pompous and I still got some fairly awesome notes on how I want to write. Mostly from disagreeing with him, but still.
So my academic brain isn't entirely dead. This is kind of exciting.
Also- there was a summer update email from the nanowrimo people today and...yes, I do need to apply to MFAs or to *something* at least. But I *really* want to do that again. Because it was exciting (not that I've finished my novel from last year. Maybe that needs to be pre-November goal. Anyway.)
Still, feeling good even if I do have to get up and go to work tomorrow morning.
