Norma Jean, back at the Vet

I had to bring Norma Jean back to the veterinarians office yesterday. She actually stopped nipping at her stitches, and she was relaxing for once. She even slept underneath the covers with me Tuesday night.

But by Wednesday morning, considering she absolutely refused to go to the bathroom in a litter box filled with torn up newspaper (instead of litter, which would get into her wounds and cause infection) she had to go to the bathroom BADLY. Three bowls of water, and two bowls of food. The girl had to GO.

So, she peed on me while I was sleeping.

When I awoke to this puddle, I also found that there was blood all over the bed, and the walls. She must have hit her foot on something, opened up one of the wounds, and as she was shaking her feet around trying to get the bandages off she was splattering blood all over the place.

I brought her back to Dr. Hennessy and he recommended keeping her there for another night since she behaves when she is with them. He gave her a sedative, and she slept there last night. I'll be picking her up sometime today, before school.

Let's hope they gave her new bandages, and she behaves herself when she gets home.
