I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas today.
My Christmas was ... Good.
I don't want to sound ungrateful, because I was raised better than that and I am thankful for everything I have. I am a very lucky person, and I truly believe this. However, allow me to explain any implication of dismay;
Christopher bought me the cutest outfit from Bebe, a pair of Jeans with a light blue top to coordinate with the blue detail on the pockets of the jeans. He did an incredible job shopping for me, as usual.
I get a little nervous about sizing, because I have a very difficult time finding pants that fit. It used to be because I was so thin, and clothing companies didn't make a size small enough for me. Now it's because I have gained weight, primarily in my lower half, and I just don't know what to do with myself. I still have a small waist, and my legs are relatively thin as well, but my butt and my hips have grown like there's no tomorrow.
Anyway, I tried them on almost immediately only to find they didn't fit, just as I feared.
They are a size 26 (equivalent to a size 0-2?), and I cannot get them past my hips.
Can we say "Moo"?
So now Christopher has to go back to the Cherry Hill Mall (about an hour from home) on Tuesday after he drops me off at school and see if they still have this particular pair of jeans in a size 28. Good luck with that, right?
I also received a pink iPod Nano from my Mom and Dad. It's super hot, and super small, and I freakin' love it.
But, when I go online to download the iTunes program so I can actually transfer my music onto the damned thing (see how quickly it went from "super" to "damned"?) I run into the same problem as
all these people have.
I can't even count how many different ways I tried to install this darned program. I tried running it, I tried saving it, I tried cleaning my temp files, I tried restarting the whole damned computer and performing a disk cleanup before trying again. Allow me to add that I am still on dial-up, so needless to say the aforementioned process was an excruciatingly long one.
I can't win.
I still tried to keep my chin up despite my disappointment, but c'mon! Two incredible presents, and I can't do jack diddly with either one of them! They just sit there, and taunt me. I don't want to make anyone feel bad, because I know they drive themselves crazy trying to please me, but you can't do much with a pair of pants that are too small and an iPod with no music on it.
: le sigh :
