So, good for the Celtics. Even though that's not how you pronounce it. :)

And thanks. :) Honestly, Boston is like no other city in the U.S. when it comes to sports -- it's a huge, huge deal to us. We basically live for our teams. So having the C's win their first championship since '86 and return to their former glory (they are, after all, the most winningest, storied team in the NBA!!) is reaaaaaaally exciting!! So I kind of love the Lakers right now because they helped that happen. ;)

It's weird. I've been feeling a lot of Boston pride lately. At the risk of being accused of regional jingoism, and as much as I complain about this place, I don't know of any other city with such heart.

I drove home through Anaheim, when the Angels won the World Series, and I think I saw one person honking their horn, and everybody looked at him funny. :) The only sport I think people really gets a buzz going around here is college football -- USC and UCLA fans can get pretty rabid, and that's fun.

But speaking of college football: My friend and I spent a few days in Tallahassee once, home of the UF Gators, during a big game. O...M...G. When I say that everyone in town was wearing Gators shirts, I'm being literal. We went to the mall, and we felt like aliens that had landed on another plant because we were the ONLY ones not wearing Gators shirts. I swear people were staring at us, because they knew we were outsiders... LOL. To this day, the memory freaks me out because it was SO weird. :)
