ZOMG Insomnia, You Bitch

Apr 21, 2008 04:37

It's 4:37am, and I'm still up. It's quite possible that my insomnia is only being made worse by my incessant surfing of every LOST website known to man, woman and smoke monster. Why can't I try warm milk like normal people? Even my cat, who was snoring peacefully at my side a second ago, just threw his head back and yelled at me. It's bad when ( Read more... )

WOW! You're just like me when it comes to LOTR. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen the movies. I've read the book COUNTLESS times and I couldn't be more excited that Peter Jackson is doing the hobbit and that Ian will be Gandalf again. I actually found this tour that is in New Zealand and it takes you to all of the key places where the film was made. Edoras, Mt.Doom, everything. But I haven't found anyone to go with me. Its about $2,000 + airfare from wherever you are to where the tour starts in NZ. It really looks amazing and I've talked to the people who run it several times. They are so incredible and so nice. I wish I could go.

I've also collected all of Tolkien's other works. I just love everything about the world itself, the elvish language is incredibly beautiful. Like MOM, I just get lost inside of it whenever I read the books or watch the movies. YAY! I'm so glad I found another LOTR fanatic.

Farscape is DEFINITELY worth watching. Of course I fell in love with the main couple, but watch just the first episode. You will, too. I actually posted a video from one of their kiss scenes on my LJ b/c its how I see the Jate kiss going down, should it ever happen.

Anyway. Sorry I'm gabbing and taking up space in your LJ. LOL.

*hugs*

OMG, don't apologize! I love talking to fellow LOTR addicts! :)

Oh, man, I've always wanted to go to NZ on one of the tours. I remember after FOTR came out, I started looking at sites that detailed all the locations as they were revealed. I was so fascinated by the idea that the cast was sequestered away from each other, like this little micro-community, in such an amazing place (kind of like the cast of LOST... Dom is pretty much the luckiest actor alive, having gotten to be a part of both of these phenomenons).

I listen to the film soundtracks on my iPod and they're so meditative -- they kind of transport me right to Middle Earth. :)

Anyway, I'll definitely make an effort to catch some Farscape and even some BSG. I'm always up for more excuses to geek out. ;) And anytime you want to talk LOTR, just let me know! :) :) :)
