Hot Weather Can Sometimes Be Fun...
I changed my little icon again. I have been wondering why I don't have more icons. So people who make icons if you feel inspired please make me some. I hinted around before that I would like some POTC icons. I would also like some Johnny Depp ones if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Oh and for the heck of it some LOTR ones. I am in the mood to change up some icons, so if any of you have the time...please feel free. I would love you for life. *pretty smile while batting eyelashes*
Emma came up today to swim. I have to say that the water felt heavenly. The weather has just been so hot as of late. I mean so hot that it feels like 105. I'm just really thankful that I have air conditioning and a swimming pool. Those two things make my life a whole lot easier that is for sure. Anyway, Emma and I spent most of the afternoon hours just talking in the swimming pool we had a really nice conversation, then again she and I always do. We talk about friends, family, boys, and just life in general. It's kind of nice to bounce your thoughts off of people sometimes. She and I are also planning on spending the day together on Friday and we are having a sleepover tomorrow night. We are going to watch movies like Titanic, maybe Don Juan Demarco, Nightmare Before Christmas, and anything else we can find that is interesting. She and I just randomly pick movies from the video store and watch them. I think the last really random movie we watched was Chocolat. It was a Johnny Depp movie that you always see and wonder if it's any good. We weren't really disappointed with it...I mean come on it is a Johnny Depp movie. If you want you guys can suggest something and maybe just maybe we'll get it.
The kittens are doing well. If you didn't already know Paul and I adopted two little stray kittens. They are named Google and Yahoo and right now they are my babies and I know that once we move them into Paul's house they are going to be spoiled rotten. They do bad things but you just don't have the heart to scold them and punish them or maybe that's just my problem. Anyway, I really must get a few pictures of them up on here so that you can see the darlings because I can promise you the moment you see them you will want them.
My parents haven't been driving me as crazy as they were before. I think I have just made it a habit to try to get myself in a good mood before they come home from work. I cannot think of the bad things about being home. I have to focus on something good. So I read a book, I paint, I listen to my ipod and sing when no one is around, I talk on the phone to people that I love, I write, and I surf sites on some of my favorite subjects. All of these things keep me relatively happy.
Tomorrow I have to call the new place that I would love to work at. I know that I'm pretty much going to get a job because my roommate works there and she already put the good word in. I am slightly nervous about calling and talking to the manager but I think that everything will be fine. I'll probably just have to write up a resume or fill out an application and send it in. What's the job? Well I want to work at an after school program for one of the local schools. It's one of my dream jobs and one that will look really good when I try to get a teaching job. The key is the more volunteer work you do with kids the better. Not to mention I love children and love working with them so this job would not be a chore at all. Also, the fact that I wouldn't have to work weekends and I could still go to the football games is a plus. Oh and did I mention that they work it around my class schedule beautifully? If I get this job I would be a REALLY happy Gina.
Tonight is the night for the results of So You Think You Can Dance. I'm not going to lie about liking the show, I really love it. I never knew how much I loved dancing until I started watching a lot of it and learning what each dance was about. There is a lot of really talented dancers out there too. The best part is that they are indeed younger and I feel that I can relate to them a lot more. A show like So You Think You Can Dance showcases young talent and how it can grow into something more. My favorite male dancer is definitely Benji. He's this geeky looking guy but the guy can dance like no other. I definitely think that he could win. My favorite girl would definitely been Benji's cousin Heidi, she just has such a bubbly personality and you can see the passion when she dances. If Heidi and Benji were in the top two then I would be completely happy with that.
Wow, I can't believe that I wrote so much. I haven't written this much in awhile. I guess my life hasn't been really that exciting. However, with the school year coming at me I feel a burst of life and energy. I'm starting to get the motivation I need to get things done and started again.
