(no subject)
the floor in my new bedroom is completely gross. i have tried every cleaning technique short of stripping the floors and refinishing them, which i really don't want to do. the walls i will have to paint. i am thinking of going with a pale yellow or pale gold, i want to make my room bright and happy instead of grimy dungeon with ugly floors, but i don't want to be too girly. and then eventually rugs will have to be purchased. it can be cute, i hope! there is sooo so much to do though.
hopefully i will have some help painting next weekend, otherwise i will be very sad.

queens is great though, and i really like my neighborhood which is on the woodside/long island city border. sripraphi (i can't spell) is a 5 minute car ride. i went with my parents and aimy on friday night. i'm excited about finding new restaurants!!
moving went really really well though. my parents helped and then the second i arrived aimy and two upstairs neighbors and one girlfriend of upstairs neighbors came downstairs to help unload my stuff. as a result it took about 5 minutes to unload everything. they = so nice.
friday night, my last night in red hook, my dad and i went to sunny's and got drunk. it was fun. sunny brought out a half bottle of johnny walker black that he had found in his closet and drank it with us and he and my dad told stories about the 60's/70's. it was awesome. i will miss sunny's.
