why does my mind blow to bits everytime they play that song?
Friday night was amazing, as the guys of My Morning Jacket never disappoint. I wish the crowd hadn't been full of spoiled ass rich kids (Vanderbilt) who had no respect for the band whatsoever, but the experience as a whole was most definitely a positive one.
I got to experience two new things Friday:
1. Seeing MMJ play outside at night
2. Seeing "Lowdown" live
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Two Tone Tommy cut his hair, but Jim is apparently letting his grow out again (?), so the hair-thrashing-rocking-out quota was more than filled. I'm really lucky that my favorite band is one that I can actually go see play. I'm debating attending the Cleveland show next month... I just loathe arena shows.
I do get to see MMJ at this year's 'Roo, so that makes me a happy lady. I need to go hang out at my friend Alex's record store in Louisville, because I'm told Jim comes in all the time. I'd really like to meet him... and not in an idiotic "Oh-my-god-you're-in-a-band-let-me-degrade-myself-for-you-sexually" kind of sense. It'd be more along the lines of thanking him for bringing something so beautiful to this dark and shitty world.

• Having two jobs is killing me--but it's paying off.
• My niece is coming into the world is less than 10 days!
• I've finally decided to change my major.
• My car is fucking up for the 563747934185743892th time; I need a new one.
