Not a perfect book. With plot holes and super interesting unresolved issues. But my god, I loved it.
Was it the antagonistic main character?
Was it the angst over everything Johannes did.
Was it Horst charm?
Was it its vision of Lucifer and Hell? (Both evil and entertaining)
I can't say. But I love it.
YES, I LOVED this book.
And it never hurt that I couldn't get Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston as Johannes and Horst.
Give it a chance.
Can't wait for the other books.
