I've probably mentioned this before, but there seem to be many people in my neighborhood who let their cats roam freely outside. I wholeheartedly disagree with this practice. I feel bad that Matt and I don't allow our cats outside, but I know it's for the best. Stories like this bring it home for me. I don't want to imagine the kind of anguish I would feel if I found one of my kitties lying dead and run over in the middle of the road. That would shatter me.

I don't let my cats outside because Stella would freak out and probably be the one to get hit by a car, and Jeffrey would just run away and I'd never find him again. He's kinda dumb.
