i too thought alot about the warnings from the mothers, and them wanting t protect them. I had not thought of the acceptance that they will eventually grow up though, i see it much more clearly now. Thanks!

I really liked what you said about following the footsteps of our parents whether or not we try. I think that children will do what they have learned. You can't change or control your children's fate. I also agree with what you said about acceptance and every child will grow up and there is no way to to stop it.

Yes, these pieces seem to reflect that all parents want to protect and encourage their children, giving them the roots and wings they need to be able to succeed in life.
