[So Jim gets mad a lot. Like, a lot. Thankfully for the boat, he doesn't really show it and instead chooses to take out his aggression in high-adrenaline activities. In today's case, that just happens to be racing. He'd been mad for weeks now, what with his Father Issues (tm) now more obvious with Sokka's father showing up and now with Silver leaving -- the only familiar thing he had on the boat -- and his friends constantly getting hurt while he tried to figure things out on his own, Jim has come to the conclusion that he really, really hates this boat. He wasn't about to get in a fight and get punished by Redd and he certainly wasn't going to go destroying boat property (who knows what that would do), so the only thing left was the racetrack. He didn't mind, to be honest. It was becoming his favorite thing to do on the boat since he didn't have a solar surfer and the chances of finding parts around here was slim to none. More reasons to hate the boat.
The chocobos wouldn't have served what he needed very well, and the hoverboard? Ha, don't make him laugh. Everything else was on wheels and that made him a little unsure, but the zoomer looked like it could do what he needed. It flew and looked fast and that's what he wanted. And with the selection of the difficulty and track, he was set.
The task here was that he'd never looked at a zoomer before, let alone knew how to fly one. It wouldn't take him long to figure out the basics. The device lived up to its name as he zoomed through the track's course. He thought about the things that had happened since he arrived on the Elegante (had it really been almost four months now?); it was all too surreal and too infuriating. He started taking the curves a little sharper, the straight lanes a little faster. Everything was so messed up and there wasn't anything he could do to change it. That turn was even sharper than the last few. He wasn't sure how fast he was actually going now, but there were a lot more turns coming up and oh crap, could he actually make them at this speed?
It would appear not because there he went, skidding on a turn as the bottom of the zoomer started flipping up; the thing tried to fishtail and it didn't work leaving him trying to hold onto the controls so he wouldn't fall out as the zoomer flipped. There may have even been a small explosion. But for all Jim knew, it was suddenly very hot and very painful where he was laying and there was a very hot, very large hunk of metal on top of him.
Yeah, this did not turn out like he imagined.]
[ooc; sup this is pretty much for sokka and probably Hiccup later :V]
