It probably is. That is not a normal sheep; I can tell you that without even looking.

It certainly doesn't make sheep sounds. It makes a "mareep, reep" sound.

From experience, most Pokémon make sounds similar to their name. It might actually be 'Mareep.'

This is like a video game, basically. Catch them, raise them, and... be friendly with them I guess. Most you'll find are pretty nice.

Actually, it would probably be the other way around. They would be named after the sound they make.
