Well according to another friend of mine, it's not that people hate fun it's that people hate fun that does not match their views of fun. This friend also adored your defense and said that you put it perfectly and that is all that needs to be said.
Hmmmm. Is there anyway we can find out who it is? I know that sounds mean and all, but I'm curious. B/c I know a lot of the muns and so I know who it's not. In fact, I can't think of anyone it would be. Which is the thing that's bothering me.
LOL. The comm should be going up in a few days, but trust me, the comm doesn't mean there won't be SWS posts. It will just give us someplace to put larger posts or smaller posts or alternate posts. (Mostly b/c I don't want it to seem like we were run off -- does that make me bad?)
Sad but true. They're not going to change. We just need to spread the word for everyone else to leave it alone too. B/c you know how trolls are. If we engage, they keep going...but if no one replies to them...well then they have nothing to say and they go away.

My own rather cynical view is that people kinda suck. What I have the most trouble with is... the whole thing is supposed to be fun. The whole purpose of communities like SWS is to give people a chance to engage in the whole having fun experience. So why there are other people who are so ready to start kicking up a fuss... puah. The reasoning completely escapes me.
I don't think we're going to find out who it is unless they own up. Short of being a mod and seeing IP addresses, sadly I think whoever it is, they'll probably always end up remaining anonymous. The whole thing is ridiculous, because as much as I don't agree with what they're saying at all, I'd at least have a bit of respect for someone who's willing to put their name to their views.
AND WHEE FOR THE COMM! Caps and all! \o/ I'm looking forward to it! Especially since it's Easter weekend and awesome time off!

I've always wondered that. Seriously. Why does this bother you so much? Why is the internet such serious business? And the thing I find most amusing is that they're most upset that Hell is not all fire and brimstone? SO WHAT? Are they a priest? Are we seriously destroying their world view? Yes there are gardens in Hell...because Hell encompasses the Underworlds of several different belief systems -- including the Elysian fields.
Ugh.

Also? I'll stop replying if you guys would rather I did. I kinda... jumped in to defend the verse because I found what they were saying out of order. They're maintaining they weren't singling people out, but... yeah, right. I saw at least two muses where the inference was without a doubt mocking in tone.
People can be so nasty for the tiniest of reasons.
Arseholes. I think that's what it comes down to. Bumfaces and arseholes.
