It doesn't come as much of a surprise to Izzie when she wakes up alone in Meredith's bed, though it certainly doesn't feel good to be left alone with a hangover and only vague memories of the night before. She could feel worse, of course, she knows that from experience and whatever amount of logic she can summon up with the sun coming in through the windows and her head pounding, but circumstances kind of put this morning in a class of its own. However blurry her thoughts are, after all, she doesn't need a great deal of clarity to remember why she's here in the first place. She has cancer, and Meredith knows this because she saw it on the TV show of their life.

The thought isn't any less unsettling now than it was last night.

Still out of it but unwilling to lie around feeling sorry for herself, she somewhat reluctantly pulls herself out of bed, not needing to think to know exactly where she's heading. It's still weird, getting used to all of them not living together anymore, but at least George's place is close. Dressed in last night's clothes and her hair still a mess, she walks in without bothering to knock or waiting for an invitation and heads right over to his bed, flopping down on it with a sigh. "I need to talk to you," she says, the words half-muffled into his pillow, one arm keeping her eyes shielded. "Good morning. Hi."
