if you don't mind getting messy, one thing that I have done is puncture a betacarotene capsule and applied the inside liquid to my crotch skin (after "washing" with yogurt and rinsing thoroughly and air-drying). As long as it is betacarotene (NOT retinyl palmitate) it is safe and it worked astonishingly well for me -- it made my hpv outbreak clear up in a few weeks when I applied once a week. A friend of mine also tried it after they got cracked skin due to a yeast infection and they said it helped. It will stain clothes though, and will stain your fingers for about a day (if you wash them as often as I do).

Also in addition to Florastor I would take Pearls "women's" probiotics daily. Of course this is all assuming you can afford the supplements and tolerate swallowing a bunch of pills.

If your doctor prescribes a cream three months in a row they don't know what they're doing. Diflucan is a one-time pill that kills all the fungus in your body and they should have given it to you already! but I had a gyno that wanted me to just use a cream too so I had to specifically ask.

I have chronic yeast infections, so I often treat them myself without bothering to talk to a doctor.

In fact, my last doctor was really shocked when they pointed it out my "infection" on my labs from my annual exam and I just sort of shrugged and went, "Its always like that." Because it is.

But on the airplane to ND it got so bad that I ended up with sores on my labia, which has never happened before.

Another doctor recommended I my own probiotic suppository (basically) by breaking open a PB8 capsule and making a paste with it and using my finger to apply it. I can't say it doesn't help, but it's messy.

I have requested Diflucan in the past and the doctor I spoke to at that point (in 2010) told me that the amount I'd have to take for how bad my problem is would damage my liver. Granted I had over growths all over my body (in my mouth and sinuses specifically) so perhaps that is an option this time.

I'm going to call my OBGYN today because this cannot go on. I'm afraid the damage being caused to my vagina. Diet changes make a drastic impact within a few days, so hopefully that helps sustain it. I may have to consider a permanent diet change that reduces sugar and processed carbohydrates drastically. I guess that wouldn't hurt my overall health in general, I just despise having dietary restrictions because I find them triggering.

if you're not ready to reduce sugar and simple carbs yet, simply increasing the amount of water you drink and raw veggies you eat will help even without that, because the water makes it a less hospitable environment for the bad stuff and the veggies help the good ones to multiply.

For me, water is number 1 over anything else (I drink at least 96 oz a day when I'm combating an infection, but I do sweat a lot and I am quite a large person).

I really really hope you get a good visit w your doc that helps a lot!
